CGFM PROCLAMATION

 

March 2007 was declared as CGFM Month and did not only recognize the over 10,000 Certified Government Financial Managers nationwide, but inspired them to continue to demonstrate professionalism and competency to promote government accountability.  California has around 1,200 AGA members, who are mostly CGFMs, with around 50 coming from the AGA Silicon Valley Chapter.  AGA has long been advocate in promoting government accountability and AGA's CGFM Certification serves that purpose.

 

In March 2007, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued a CGFM recognition and congratulatory letter.

 

Five cities in the San Francisco/San Jose Bay Area proclaimed March 2007 as CGFM Month  (Click each City Mayor's name to view the CGFM Proclamation):

  1. City of San Jose - Mayor Chuck Reed

  2. City of Milpitas - Mayor Jose Esteves

  3. City of Sunnyvale - Mayor Otto Lee

  4. City of Palo Alto - Mayor Yoriko Kishimoto

  5. City of San Francisco - Mayor Gavin Newsom
