CERTIFIED GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL MANAGER (CGFM) MONTH
To recognize the CGFM Program and its accomplishments, AGA has declared March of each year going forward as "CGFM Month" - read the official AGA Proclamation.
Proclaiming March 2008 as CGFM Month does not only
recognize the over 14,000 Certified Government Financial Managers and AGA
members nationwide but inspire them to continue to demonstrate
professionalism and competency to promote government accountability.
California has around 1,200 AGA members, with around 50 coming from the AGA
Silicon Valley Chapter. AGA has long been advocate in promoting
government accountability and AGA's CGFM Certification serves that purpose.
In March 2008, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued a CGFM recognition and congratulatory letter.
